Earth strap.
The relays clicking will be from the poor connection not giving enough power. |
earth strap where though?? there must be hundreds of them!
the relays have actually stopped clicking now and when you try somthing like the wipers or lights it either doesnt work, kills the poker to everything else or works but not fully :S
what would explain the smoke though??
wish it was just somthing simple as i really need to car for monday morning lol |
main earth strap is negative battery terminal to gearbox

I would get codes read first, or wait unil one of the Lee's sees this post as they are the experts.
However if it is a new ECU you will need: ECU, key with transponder, and all the locks. |
ok i will do.
ok well i should easily be able to get all that from a breakers yard.
when you say all the locks, would that be ignition barrel, doors and boot??
as surely the doors would just work of the keyfob and not need the locks changed but obviously keep the old key incase i needed it...? |
not quite right. Just did mine. New ECU, BSI and transponders are needed. No need for the locks.
