2003 will be multiplexed though Paul, anyone know how different the steering wheel removal is from preplex to multiplex?

I assume you just have to follow the correct BSI disconnect battery procedure

Look at the rear of the steering wheel, 2 holes, one on each side. The airbag is clipped in. Push the wire clips in with a screwdriver and carefully pull off airbag. (Disconnect the battery first and follow the BSI reset procedure)
Then there is IIRC a 22mm nut to undo and the steering wheel pulls off.

2003 = mulitplexed.
Wheels straight
BSI shutdown. open window, remove battery cables, wait, push a screwdriver into hole underneath, airbag pops off, unclip all plugs, undo airbag,, unscrew bolt in middle of the steering wheel halfway, wack one side of the wheel to pop it off then pull towards you, then fully undo the bolt and remove, then pull the wheel off without smacking yourself, the com2000 unit is attached with 2 - 4 plugs, remove these then lift the flips that hold it to the steering wheel rack, slide off, then swap and reverse.
