Hi folks!
I have a 2000 206 2.0HDI with front fog lights and the drivers side foglight is broken.
....Okay, I broke it
pushed too hard trying to get the damn spring clip that holds the bulb back into place when changing bulb and now the bulb holder is loose on one side inside the housing.
I've spoken to 2 main dealers...
one says the fog light can be changed by removing the spotlight through the hatch in the wheel arch
the other says you have to remove the whole bumper and its a £90 job! (excluding parts!)
Could anyone confirm which is correct please?
Any help will be very much appreciated!
Thanks,
because.

You can take the fog light off without removing the bumper. there's an access panel in the arch liner. Then to fix the fog, just separate the glass from the rest of the fog, push the chrome lense back into place and then seal the glass back on with silicone
Depending on how long the silicone takes to dry its a 20-30 minute job

Not all 206's with factory fit front fog lamps have the access panel in the arch liner

Just a quick question before I get the big hammer out....
When I #cough# broke it the other day, I did try removing the unit through the hatch.
I unbolted the bolt at the bottom of the foglight mount and there are 2 prongs at the top that "slot" into the bumper.
I did try to pull the unit out, but it didn't want to come out of the slots at the top.
Do i just need to "persuade" it more? ...I was a bit careful, didnt want to break it anymore than I had Do i just need to pull a bit harder?
Thanks again.

I think you have to tilt the lamp so the glass is facing the floor then it just pulls out

Hmmm... I do recall it seemed to hit something on the left stopping it from being tilted very much.
Maybe it needs some twistyfication to the right
I'll have another play & post how I get on.
Thanks again

you can always get another fog light if you dont want to separate the glass from the rest of the fog ( its broken already so wont be a problem if you brake it a bit more) lol

Okies,
I've taken off the Arch Liner...the foglight wont pull out as the washer bottle stops it being tilted high enough to unclip....bugger!
Soooo..anyone know how easy (Pleeease be easy!) the bottle is to remove please?

If you get really stuck it not hard to remove the front bumper
206info.co.uk/Forums/v...t=580.html
Heres my how to on removing it, it's a simple job if you get stuck and can't remove the light through the gap
Would save you £90 as well
