car doesnt sound like how it used to. thought the car used to sound really smooth and give that usual nice acceleration sound when you step on the gas.

now i get this very slight very mild rough sound and feel to it.
i even feel vibrations though the accelerator pedal. you could almost miss the vibrations initially because it vibrates at such a frequency (fast like a hair shaver? bad eg.) that you could almost miss it. low intensity vibrations but quick repetitions.

only after having that vibration running through my leg for a short period will my right feet start to feel fuzzy within. thats when i realised that my pedal vibrates.

i thought it would go away with my recent servicing but i think its starting to get worse.

im currently experiencing clutch judder (changing soon) and just had some engine mount changed. wishbones have some play in it, not fixed yet. at low gears when moving off i hear this rattling sound coming from the engine bay area, sounds like thin metal plates or some bolt gone loose but still hanging on.

vague eh! hope someone could point out my problem

that is just heart wrenching to hear its only about 35000miles on the clock.
log book says previous owner only did servicing and some brakes so i believe there are 'wear & tear' parts that are starting to die on me now. probably like the clutch and belt and what not.

just no clue what

don't have any clue at all.

for such a low milage gti clutch shouldn't be a problem, so as the flywheel.

hydraulic clutch normally is maintainance free for life.

you say the engine is rough, is there any sign of misfire?

The rattle from the engine bay could be the manifold, just needs tack welding if it is, not sure about the vibration through the pedal though

Ohh yes I forgot to mention. I experience the occasional 'difficult ignition' I think that's a misfire? It just sounds like its not gonna start but it starts anyway all in that space of 1 - 2 seconds. I got it twice in a row parking on a slope and other random times on the flat.

Half the time it starts really smooth. I did get anti pollution fault before.

Cold mornings are terrible, the car vibrates on idle after start up.. I can see the gear stick vibrating. When I start driving it disappears.
