Howzit okes..i really need your opinions, i recently got into an accident and my airbags burst.bt replacing them is extremely expensive and i wasnt insured, does anyone know a way for me to seal the passenger and steering wheel airbag containers meantime whilst i save for airbags???SOS!

I don't know how popular the 206 is in SA but have you tried any car breakers/scrap yards?

What year of 206 is it as there's 2 completely different types of airbags used depending on age & there not interchangable.
You can buy them cheap enough used in the UK
BUT you cannot use airfreight to send them, has to be over land & sea, you will also need a replacement airbag ecu & front seatbelt pretensions.

its a 2007 model hdi turbo...i have tried scrapyards here in Johannesburg.but the price is just the same as ordering from a peugeot outlet here

2007 & you have managed to fire the airbags, this really needs checking professionally as a multiplexed 206 like this needs a really hard / heavy impact to even fire the srs system!
Id be amazed if the bodyshell / chassis isn't bent in someway.

the body is intact, it was just a slight bump on the left fender and bonnet, but with the airbags out the dashboard doesnt look pretty, will post a pic tomorrow...im juss wondering if its cheaper to buy them from overseas..

What was your speed?
What did you hit?
What was their speed?

my speed was abt 100km/h, i hit a pile up of two cars whilst swerving to avert the pile up

No way was it a slight bump! to fire a multiplexed 206's srs sytem like you have it takes a heavy / hard impact, its gonna have damaged the chassis / bodyshell in some way.

the 'main' damage was to the fender and bonnet and v arm, which i replaced
