everything is connected. Some functions may not be activated on the BSI but the wiring is all the same. Apart from maybe a few sensors missing.

Could the software be updated then to allow this car to have the Auto headlights ability? Maybe updating the software to allow it, and then de-activating it using the method with the button posted earlier might actually stop this from happening?

You need the sensor fitted and the BSI settings changed accordingly. - still sounds like a dodgy com2000

to retrofit auto lights (and wipers?) - is it just a case of fitting the sensor? is there a loom in the headlinging for it to interface with?

OP - my most recent com2000 i got brand new on ebay for £35 delivered and fitted myself. as mentioned, it will most likely fix your issue.

I'm looking into getting a new comm unit, the advice given to me was not ignored despite what some may think so the sarcy comments can be kept to a minimum. I'm just looking to check if there were any other possible fixes or workarounds as money is tight and I don't have enough to splash out on a comm unit and someone to install it (I would have no idea) and last time I checked I was told a new comm unit would cost around £200 odd plus fitting. If they can be got on eBay for cheap enough I will maybe get one there and see if I know someone local that might do it for cheap enough.

Was at Peugeot earlier and they told me that it would cost £288 inc. fitting to get a new com unit. Sod that. I have checked on eBay for replacement models but they all are for higher spec versions of the 206 than what I have and I know they will work but don't want to risk it as the one that's giving me problems is one that is from a higher spec car!

Rob2859, you mentioned that you have a unit for sale. Is it one that would fit a Style and comes only with the Style functions, and not one designed for higher spec models? How much are you selling it for? Thanks.
