Off to France next year for the anniversary of d-day. (I know its ages away but better to plan early) How long to you have to have your licence for before you can drive in France (Im from uk) and what other legal requirements are there? I already have my lovely illegal-in-uk French plates haha

You can drive there on a UK licence as were a part of the EU. Just need reflective jacket warning triangle and breakdown cover.

You'd better do some research, as in addition to the above you'll at least need a GB sticker or legal Euro plates, have to carry all car docs, & get lens converters.

not too sure if tyres affect uk cars over there but i think you have to have at least 4mm tread. the next im really not sure about so double check, i think you may have to have the same make/brand tyre on each axle and you may need winter tyres in winter. as i said earlier im not too sure.
