Brother is trying to locate a rear axle to get his xsi back on the road for when he takes his test, has bought a few in the past but each time abs light and handbrake light always stays on, anyone know why this is and does it have to be from another xsi of the same year?

What year car does he have? Maybe it's not a problem with the hubs. The problem could be elsewhere on the car.

If its non-plexed you need a non-plexed axle, ifs its plexed you need plexed.
If they ran a diag test, they could have seen the fault after they installed it

Sorry to jump onto this but I'm facing having to get a rear axle for my xsi....any ideas of decent places to get one? I believe the xsi's and gti's have a different axle to a standard 206

eBay usually
They all are the same basically except GTi180 and SW as they have trailing arms
Then you either get disc or drum
If you have ABS, you need one from your matching electrical system

ABS is standard equipment on an XSI
Look for the little yellow warning light on the instrument cluster when you start up.
Either a picture of a car skidding OR it will say ABS

Open the bonnet, look near the passengers front light....do you have a square-ish thing with some pipes coming from it?
