After a bit of advice here guys.

Recently my 180 has been doing some strange things when it comes to steering.

When at a slow speed and hitting a small bump, or dip in the road, my steering with do a 1/4 turn on the steering wheel rather shapely causing me to have to counter to avoid smashing into things.

There is a bit of in-stability at speed also, usually when I hit a dip, or like outside my office, there's a gap in the road at a bridge, and going over that seems to cause it to do it also.

I took it into a garage today (they specialise in Brakes, Suspension, Tyres and exhausts) and they done a suspension check and all was fine. Breaks have been checked also and nothing wrong. Tracking was perfect and this was the limit of what the guys could check.

I'm assuming now that this is going to be an issue with the steering column or the rack in some way shape or form.

Anyone experienced this before?

I am looking at taking it into PUG to take a proper look, but would rather have as much checked before I go in.

Thanks in advance guys.

Is the ESP warning light flashing when the odd steering issues happens?

ESP can cause all sorts of issuse if its not set up correctly, even having the tracking adjusted you are meant to then reset the ESP steering angle sensor back to 0.

Thanks for your reply,

No lights or anything show up when the steering issue happens.

Does seem to occur more after hitting a bump in the road, or going over a dip.

Have had my 2 front tyres replaced (excessive ware on front drivers side). Seems to handle MUCH better now. They did mention a sligh buckle on the wheel but nothing to worry about.
