Hope someone can shed some light on this one for me please.
Yesterday i changed the glow plugs in my 2.0 HDI D-Turbo and since then, although i haven't had any issues starting the car, i've noticed that every time i turn the ignition on the glow plug/preheat warning light hasn't worked.
I know that it still starts and that modern diesels dont need glow plugs so much anymore but its annoying me the light was working before i changed them. I've checked the connections and the fuses are all ok. Any advances on this would be epic. Thanks.

I thought that but before i changed them they always came on regardless of the weather. I remember when i bought the car they never came on all the time and as i last changed them around 70k ago i cant really remember what they did then. Ive done so much reading on them its unreal, some people say the light should always come on even if its for a split second, others say that it has to be below 15d outside. Is it worth getting a voltmeter out or am i being a bit anal.

Perhaps your new glow plugs are more efficient... so the light doesn't need to come on... Thought of that?

a 1.9d belingo (engine from a 1.9 206 has been fitted to it) i drive some times comes on around 5-10oc and only a quick flash.
i know mines vauxhall and its just the same. (all be its around 15oc when it flashes)
as long as the thing starts i wouldnt worry
