Hi Peeps,

Wonder if you couldplease help as im new to this forum.

My GF has not long got a 206 Y Reg (2K Model) and there have been some issues we have been sorting out. however recently when she turns the wheel it makes a clunking noise.

When she had her tyre's done they mentioned that the bushes are on their way out.

My Question is could that be the issue and is it quite easy to fix. I am armed with a haynes manual and alot of determination to resolve the issue. Laughing Laughing

Thanks

JT

Could be few things at fault, a few things to consider would be balljoint, topmount bearing, cv joint,

If the bushes your on about are the wishbone bushes I would change the wishbone as the balljoint is attached to wishbone, see what happens,

Does it clunk when you turn the wheel or when you are turning while driving? I had the problem when turning and it ended up being the drive shafts. Are you losing power steering at all?

I'm not losing power steering and only occurs when turning towards full lock.

Topmount bearings, happened to mine a while back, like a deep clunk noise going towards full lock either way, easy and cheap to fix Smile

Hi All,

Further update from the Mrs mentioned it to her and was told it only happens intermittently.

Does that help narrow down the problem at all??????

Any help would be grateful.
