Yer, my mums got a 307 which she just wants rid of now, lately its just had nothing but problems.

307 = recalled up to 3 different times for catching fire & the horn push has a built in design fault Laughing

The RD3 radio's fitted to the 307 dont last to long either before just giving up Laughing

The cd changers gone on her's & we'r also waiting for 2 injectors to turn up as her's are knackerd.

the 307 is s**t w**k f****d c*** i love mine (NOT) when i had my 206 i loved it then got a 307 and nothing but problems but i have put to much money trying to fix it it aint worth getting rid of

Shame Peugeot stopped the 307's catching fire, could have had a nice little insurance claim Whistle...

Electrical short circuits in the ABS unit & also the electric power steering unit.

thats first i heard of that? do you suggest putting into neutral and clutch up when waiting? i always have clutch in, in gear and sit on brakes

clutch in will wear out the release bearing on the clutch kit.

no wonder why more and more people wear out the bearing before the plate

Mine went after hearing the release bearing grinding for a good 2 weeks and the bite point getting higher and harder to pull away.

I bought a clutch kit from my local factors, national clutches was the make, cost me just under £100, have done around 3,000 + miles and no signs of problems.

pics of the thrust bearing, well what was left of it, new one on the right to compare

 


and the new clutch installed

i never done all that clutch up, handbrake on etc and never ever had a new clutch or new brakes (due to warping) ever.

i got told that for when im on lessons ect, its easier to leave it down as its more effort rushing to put it back in gear ect whilst learning, but once i get my own car to leave it up, as its me who has buy the clutches then
