True, so all the more reason to get the info properly laid-out regarding keys I think.

Interesting development...
In actuator test (in Planet) there is no response from either "Identified Transmission" OR "Non Identified transmission"
Could the reciever be faulty? How could I test it?
and most importantly - where the hell is it?

yes it's new and yes it's the only one, when you say new com2000 do you mean New new or can it be used?
The test for the com2000 is coming back as "No faults found"

Transmitter is inside the come, so if the key works and you've programmed it, it should pick up the signal.

But if its even not picking up a unID'd one, then sounds like the receiver is faulty.

Try a replacement com

OK guys, sorted my own problem, so thought I'd share in case some one else has similar problem.
Didn't have remote key, only basic (valet) one. So because there are so many variations, I bought a new fob with circuit board (Hickley's £46). Tried everything to programme it, I used the old transponder from the valet key, so car started. I went through the learning process on planet(x100), no joy.

So I put the new transponder in the fob, selected 2 keys in Planet programming, programmed the old key and transponder as key one. and the new key fob and transponder as key two. And Bingo, the remote works. Surprised

So after about 5 weeks, 3 different fobs, nearly pulled out Com2000, actually pulled out lots of my hair, I can finally walk away from my car, and press the button to lock. What luxury.
Thanks for all attempts to help.
Regards.
