Hi guys, my car isn't starting.. I switched my keys over today (to a flip one) and had to keep locking/unlocking the car to get the positioning of the keys correct. I went out this evening, and car wouldnt start. I hooked up the other car (1.4 fiesta if thsi helps) and was revving for about 15-20 mins, and still car wouldnt start, any help pls?
Thanks

Yup, and have also tried the spare key I have, and both have the same effect on the car.

Immobilser fault.
Check the chip
Spare Key
Fuel cut off
Aerial
Double relay
Attempt a code read to confirm
Check wiring
New/Replacement BSI or ECU

Shouldn't jump start a multiplexed car.
Try soft booting the BSI
If it bumps, then it rules out a IMMO fault.

have just tried the soft boot method... The clock lights and everything comes on as normal inside the car, the sidelights came on, but only after i put the ignition on. When I tried starting the car, the engine was making a kind of whirring noise, not sure if this is the engine turning over?
