Hi ..

basically .. i've got a 2005 1,4 triptronic .. since i bought it i noticed it held onto gears and didnt change up properly when in drive over revs etc .. normally drive it in semi mode anyway so it dosnt really matter but i was having a play in PP2000 this afternoon and got the following error codes ..

Remote intermittent fault. Engine speed signal. No signal
Remote intermittent fault. CAN engine torque information. No signal

said that either the transmission control unit is configured wrong or dodgy plug / corroded wire ..

anybody had a similar problem?

any help at all on this would be appreciated

Thanks alot

One of the ABS rings is no good.

Or was faulty and then fixed, and codes not cleared

You can view the live data. Or test the pins, should be 1000-1300ohms

If it is picking up a incorrect reading then maybe so. Or your AL4 ECU wants updating.

No as it's a intermittent fault not a permanent one.

If you have a multimeter just test them.

There will be a blue 2 pin blue near each ABS sensor.

Have you actually cleared the faults, and do they come back straight away after a drive?

Read the live data while you're driving, check all the wheel speeds are the same +/- 2kph

Might need the ECU software updating.

Parameters.

If you are using clone software and hardware, then don't even think about trying to update yourself.
