Ive recently brought my brothers gti 138.
it has a few little bits need sorting but the main one is the heater motor just does what it wants when it want,
I now its the blower motor that needs changing, but is there differences between the climate control ones or will any fit and work?
need it sorting before it gets any colder on the mornings or it will take ages to demist the windows
cheers john

Climate control fans are different to all other fans.

Are you sure its broken? This is what the climate control fan does - it varies according to the air temperature etc to control the ventilation as desired. If its noisy, its noisy though - so needs lubricating or replacement.

yes its defiantly broken. when not in auto if i press the + or - it doesn't do anything. then it will just come on and go off all of a sudden.
i meant are all the climate control blowers the same. gti, cc, hdi, xsi ect

Take the blower motor unit off
Test the motor on its own......+ve and -ve to the motor and it should work
The aluminium bit with the pegs is a resistor and it might be only this part that needs changed.
I did mine earlier in the month........£40 for a brand new resistor from e-bay
It is for a 307 but fits the 206 motor
Works a treat
Hope this helps
Ronnie
