just out of interest
here is mine... 110BHP / 1553KG x 1000 = 70.83BHP per tonne
so it is BHP divided by weight in KG's then multiply by 1000 to get your figure
edit - i got the weight of the car wrong, its actually1088KG
edit, sorry dont mean to be patronising on this topic, the math is for anybody who didn't know or couldn't be bothered to work it out

Where does the 1553 kg come from?
Kerb weight of the XSI isnt anything like that.

Your looking at gross weight, wrong figure.
You need the KERB weight
