Well tbh they would need to be a least half, or in the correct colour just aint worth spending my money on smoothed parts right now if they need a whole respray

Well I've been having a busy christmas
Around 7 months since I last did anything to the pug and it's looking in a bit of a sorry state feel kind of bad. I hadn't even washed it since FCS...
I raised the car at the rear a few months ago to see if it looked better but have changed my mind now.
5 weeks ago I started modifying again and just about finished it. Bits had been taken off to paint but this is generally what it was like at the start.
The wheels had also been swapped round just so mine could get refurbed.
First up was a languna splitter and some masked fog lamps
Then smoked rear fog
Following the theme the morrettes got smoked with tint film
Then the rain finally stopped and I was able to get outside and under the car. I started by adjusting the torsion bars back to where they were before but took no photos. I wanted to treat the rusting parts etc so I spent half a day sanding down the bad bits and coating in hammerite.
The disc protectors were gone so I got some other ones and painted them up, also painted the calipers.
Then got a nice scorpian backbox, except it was for a gti so ended up taking it off. Shame because the previous owner said it was from a 1.1....
Coilovers arrived to go 30mm lower at the front, also painted the calipers whilst I was at it.
At the new ride height
Isn't a lot of clearance.. been driving for the last week at it's alright just have to be careful
Then I fitted the bumper and the main flaw was obvious... couldn't go over anything with the splitter on so it has had to be removed.
Then I got a smoked third brake light, except I can't get it to fit properly. Not sure why I took another photo of the rear fog..
A nice SP bonnet vent that I don't like, after a black one
Got my hands on some 180 mirrors, wanted them for the folding feature which was weird when I plugged the switch in and my exsisting gti mirrors folded
Brake light and fog fitted, but brake light removed later. Also fitted colour coded bump strips around this point. Decided the fog wasn't smoked enough so tinted it with left over lamin - x
New ride height with bumpers
Cc'd door handles
Then around this point I stopped taking pictures of everything. But fitted a load of 180 parts including carbon trims and leather binnacle.
The rear LED's died so got some new ones
Then came the test drive with the suspension (I hadn't actually driven it until this point) absolutely fine up to 40mph and then violent shaking... was reluctant to strip it back down but didn't have much choice.
Now I realise it's important to have two people to make sure the driveshaft spring is in dead centre when removing the struts. If you don't, and the line it up then put the strut in yourself it's easy for it to slip out. In which this happens...
Absolutely shattered the spring, you can't even buy it seperately so it's a whole new driveshaft job..
Luckily I had one lieing around so with that fitted it was good to go.
Then for the wheels.. I took them off months ago to get the lip sprayed in flourescent green. Had to get them re powdercoated but the bodyshop never got round to painting them, so I just took them back in the idea I would get them painted some other time but to be honest I like them in black.
Have a little bit of stretch on them too, much better than the baloons fitted before
Had some SMD sidelights I bought ages ago
Bodyshop did end up painting a load of other parts though
A good wash and polish later and it looks like this. There are quite a few things I did but forgot about but it's mostly all there. Will let the picture do the talking now
Ignore the scuff on the front bump strip, it's next on my to do list

Cheers guys
The whole black theme wasn't the idea but it's growing on me, will see if the wheels get painted or not
Yeah they are 15s, 206 arches are pretty massive. Didn't notice the tyre will have to check it in the morning.
