Evening Dudes
Now the handbrake is having a bit of a hissy fit on my car. I'v got rear drum brakes, and it only feels like one wheel is being stopped by the handbrake.
So, to test, i'm assuming rear of car up on stands, handbrake on, in gear, and see if one spins freely whilst the handbrake is applied? Any other ideas of how i could test this?
Secondly, are there any guides on changing a handbrake cable yourself? IIRC peugeot price is about 12 quid for 2 of them, and cba messing about at a garage with this snow atm.
Any help much appreciated guys!
Mike

Id have both the rear drums of first as I doubt the handbrake cables or the cable adjustment is gonna be the real fault.

I heard It snap: it always happens on my driveway in the winter. Doubt it'd be anything to do with the rear brakes. Handbrake handle also feels less "heavy" i.e. easier to pull up.
Lee: Do brakes need to be bled to replace cable? Thanks for guide btw

Handbrake cable should last the life of the car.
I would suggest you also remove the drums have a look at the rear brake as something doesnt sound right with them
