have noticed when i boot it in my gti 138 the cat really stinks, was told at the mot that its a good cat just wondering why it stinks? never noticed it on any other pugs i have owned.

How do you know its the cat? surely any smells from the cat would go straight behind the car?

Doesnt need to replace it, maybe look at the lambda sensor, I think when it smells it can be down to it working overtime??

Im changing my exhaust at the weekend so I will take the lamder sensor out and check it.
