At the end of this month I am going to pick up my nans 206 1.9 diesel for £1200. Very low mileage and well looked after and best of all, completly standard so a complete blank canvas.
First ideas are to colour code the bump strips and door strips, get my audio in there from my previous car and go from there. Will proberly get it lowered at some point but going to start off small.
Not keen on the colour as its the "matt" blue and in my eyes its a bit bland but a few touches and i recon it will look quite good. Gonna be a struggle though to get it the way i want it.
Any ideas and feedback welcome, good and bad.

dont for get change the back box and get a sporty one because the noise of the diesel sound on the 1.9 sounds like a tractor so with the rear sporty box you might get away with it

Well im picking up the car weekend after next. Wont be modding it for 3months (gonna be very hard to keep standard) but after that i shall be going at it. Just gotta do subtle things at first so they dont notice. They got fussy bout the amount if money i put inuto my previous car and think that modifying it will drop the price. In my eyes it will only reduce the target market

I had a little think about what car shows me and the missus will be attending this year and iv decided that I want the car done by the time trax comes around.
Thing is, weve agreed im not to modify it for 3 months so i can get used to driving it and make sure I like it before i spend money on it so time wise its going to be tight. I was also given a challenge at work today. On my previous car i spent hundreds on it getting it the way i want. Iv been challenged to modify my car to the way I would like to keep it but on a budget of........ £500
This is definatly going to be a hard one lol

Little update:
Picked up the car last week. Very impressed with it, deisel just seems to sit in the tank instead of being used dramatically like my old pug, very comfortable and no problems as of yet, touch wood.
Had the mot yesterday and passed, needed two indicators replaced for some reason but was only £4 so why grumble.
After working on both cars today me and the missus have decided we may euro it. Iv had a browse and found some nice alloys, What ya think?

If plans go ahead then there will be alot of smoothing, alot of spraying and a few different touches that you may have not seen before.

The Image wheels are awesome mate, but have you looked at the prices of them? You might be able to buy 2 wheels if you're lucky, with your budget of £500 . So you'll be 2 wheels and 4 tyres short
My advice would be to first get some cheap coilovers, I think the 'Hot Tuning' ones come in at well under £200. Then I'd be on the lookout for some second hand wheels, the Wheel Whores for sale section is always a good place to look. Wide, dished, stretched tyres.... will look cool.

no i didnt look at the price lol. Was in a rush when i found them. There are the sort of alloys im after.
My 18th birthday is next month so hoping i can get enough money together to purchase a set of coilovers and alloys but just got to decide how low and what size alloys/tyres.
I think the £500 is out the window now as me and the missus want to create a show worthy car. lol
Next month were planning on smoothing the door locks and ariel. Maybe the little dip that runs along the rear bumper aswell. Just have to go careful on where i spend my money
