I searched but couldn't find a definite answer to my problem.
I am getting a whirring noise; sounds like a jumbo jet flying overhead at high altitude. I only get it when going around left corners. I can hear it from about 40mph and noise increases with speed. Thinks its from the nearside but its hard to tell its not that loud. Trailing arms were replaced when I lowered it a few months ago.

If its at the rear it will probably be bearing.

rear wheel bearing jack car up so both rear wheels are of the ground make sure you got blocks in front of front wheels so car doesnt roll foward or back make sure handbrake is off and out of gear then spin wheels and listen for the whinning noise

Jacked it up today and I can't hear anything even when spinning them quite fast. They feel smooth too. I was going to check the front but it was already dark and I need to drive it onto bricks to get the jack under. Still think it could be at the rear though.

Could be the wheel rubbing? Nothing it can really be other than bearing or rubbing. New wheels or lowered at all?
I had a similar noise (wouldnt descrive it as a jet though) when putting 306 alloys on my saxo. Offset was smaller so inside of tyre was rubbing on the car

I found it. It is the wheel bearing but at the front. you can jiggle the wheel slightly when its on the ground you can feel it clunking in your hands.
