Basically was fitting my new brakelight today and think I may have over tightened the nut on 1 of the bolts because as I heard a slight creak noise and noticed the light sits slightly off the norm

im hoping i haven't broke the plastic which holds the bolts in, arrodite should do the trick though if I have or i'll just buy a new 1

had a look and it's not broken, just a design fault with the brakelight where it doesn't sit flush but even worse, it now does not work and think the wire has got caught when tightening it

what's best to connect the wires together bearing in mind there is limited space behind the light

Best - I'd say solder and shrink tubing...
I went with crimp connectors (inline tube style) and that's been fine for 7 years now...
