What are the plus's to a 206 xsi I have the chance to get my hands on an 04 plate with some damage just not sure its worth the |£500 they want for it has quarter damage and o/s front are the parts anymore sort after on an xsi over other models? it does have vortex alloys on though one looks damaged and full leather
if repaired are these sort after ? as all in the trade down here say to stay away from 206's with bigger than 1400cc engines as no one wants them but I would have thought the xsi might be different
any thoughts please?

Hi Deks
I have owned my 54 plate from new and covered 45.000 miles, no failures other than the drop links that required replacement
Its also quite good on fuel if you don't thrash it
Been a great car never let me down once

XSI not really sort after im sure the roland garros is more sort after than that
repaid it will be worth around £1600 quid??
if the vortexs are in good condition they can fetch 300+ so sell them to pay for the repairs and your quids in

A green 206 with a gash interior is more sought after? Aye, if your on class A's
Vortex's aren't worth that much now, unless they are mint. Fit a standard set of wheels and widen your buyer market.

Xsi's I think are very sought after. Took me ages to find mine. With it being the only 1.6 16v engine availible (except the sport model which came later I think) there good for people who can't really afford the insurance on the 2.0 litre but still want that bit of power. I love mine

I have owned my XSI for around a year and a half. Only thing I would say that lets the car down is the gearbox, I find the gear ratios and the fact it develops very little power low down means if you want to go fast you have to keep it on cam - which costs rather alot in petrol. But I guess that's somewhat unavoidable with a small engine. Handles well though - reminds me of the 205 GTI.

205 GTI should p**s all over a 206 XSI for handling.
Only area the 206 would beat it is braking.
