Hi,
I want to get the rear interior lights from my old 206 and move it to my new 206 but can't get it working, the 3 controls as standard:
1) door
2) always on
3) always off
There is 3 wires into the interior light in my GTI and 4 wires into the interior light from my LX and from trying many combinations, I never seem to get the door light to come on (with switch selected of course). Only "always on" comes on but not door light.
Even though they look exackly the same won't they work or is the wiring wrong? If so is there wiring diagram for this?
Thanks in advance.
Edit:
GTI light: (from my memory.. I think yes)
1) grey
2) yellow
3) -blank-
4) green/yellow
LX light:
1) orange
2) blue
3) yellow
4) green/yellow

Whats so special about the LX light? The GTi one has a map reading light, why would you want to swap?

Don't want to swap, I have had 2 of these LX lights fitted in the rear in pre-plex and have moved/re-wired into GTI multi-plex but door light won't show. LX and GTI light look like twins inside and out, are you sure circuit is different? If it is then I should be looking to buy any interior light above 2001 right? I can keep the connector clips the same surely?

Plug one of these LX interior lights in to your GTI 180 & see what happens.

It don't even fit in so can't take that to the test.
I will try re-wiring before I end up buying two more.
Thanks again.
