hi,my 03 plate 206 1.4 petrol suddenly cut out yesterday while driving and now refuses to run,it will start sometimes but only for a minute or two,as soon as i touch the accelerator it cuts out,have had it plugged in no codes come up,the fuel pump is priming and there is a new battery on, please help i need my car back on road asap, thankyou in advance

Pretty much the same happened to me today. Mine lurched after every gear change and died when I dipped the clutch. It would start for a couple of mins then die if I touched the gas peda.l I read the codes and it was the MAP sensor, replaced it and everything is fine now.

have a look at the battery earth cable. where it bolts on top of the gearbox
check its not snapped/frayed

checked all earth straps still not running, anyone know what`s wrong with it ???

Check the lambda sensor, wouldn't have thought it would cause this but my 306 had a very similar issue and when i changed it, it's running has improved and it no longer stalls

Crank position sensor - cheap if you can do it yourself?
Coil pack - bit more expensive?
Lambda will not prevent starting or driving but will light the engine warning light.
