hi my x plate 206 gti keeps cuttin out when it feels like it,had the aa out 2 it and he said fuel pump so i changed the pump and it did it again last nite got the car home fuel pump was not workin again and no spark left the car a few hours and its started 1st time

any idea what it could be ???

No spark could be a number of things, 1st is the coilpack and second thing maybe a immoblizer fault as im sure it cuts the spark but dont hold me to this

Pretty sure the imob cuts the spark but it shouldn't do it if already running?

It's an odd one, dont think many have ended up properly fixing it

Could be crank shaft position sensor had a similar problem with mine.

Well mine wouldnt start at all, was turning over but no spark. Changed the sensor nd its started first time ever since

car is goin 2 auto electrical on sat for a full dyno check hopefully there is info stored on the ecu what the fault is !

hi i have had the car on a dyno machine and it read a stored fault on the ecu saying there was a fault on the coilpack number 1 & 3,so hopefully a new coil pack and the car will be fine

why bosch plugs ? i have put new ngk plugs and new lucas coil pack,been for a good drive so it gets warm and she ran fine Smile

NGK cause the misfire phase detection system to go haywire, also reduces the life of the coil pack and causes misfires

Bosch plugs & Bouricord coil pack else your just wasting your time.

hi the car as done it again today just sat in traffic and she just cut out and wont start,i have changed the coil pack,stark plugs,fuel pump

could it be the bsi unit goin down ????

earths all look ok just been out in the car and its done it again,it seem to do it if you stop for a min than go again or if the car is sat in traffic the rev counter is very low then its just cuts out

left it a hour and its fine again
