Super would be best. But I would say it depends how deep your wallet is.

this is diesel not unleaded but i put £40 in tank ONLY GOT 20 LITRES that was Super diesel! ffs i didnt know!

I have been using super for the last 4 years in my 400 bhp gt4 so hoping to make alot less trips to my petrol station in the 180. That bloody thing loved a drink.

I also use super in my 300bhp Saab, dont really see the need to put super in a 180, unless you're gonna go down the Turbo route.

I get around 30 miles less to a tank with super and power doesn't feel any different to regular.
That's on a 138 gti
Fuels expensive enough without paying a premium for that s**t!.
Just my 2 penneth

It's a good question
In 2009 Thorney Motorsport did a test using Tesco Momentum 99 and the results were quite interesting

Very interesting.
Looks like i will be sticking to 99 then for around 20% more mpg and if im lucky a little bit more torque.

Thorney were also biased as they were sponsored by Tesco, in my eyes that can taint reports like that.
In an NA engine, don't bother with super, it's a waste. Forced induction, then yes, it can help a little bit.
