Hi guys my gti has just started to unlock itself, basically when i lock it with the fob and using the key in the lock it justs unlocks straight after until it wont lock at all.
anyone got any ideas before i start dissmantling both the doors.

Yes mate, it does seem like there's a door open but there's not. Have read that the regulators get wet and break down. Where are these situated?

probably a solenoid has gone. Try unplugging the boot lock first too. Mine packed in but when I pulled it off it let the other doors lock. It also immobilised the car at one point until I pulled it out.

I very much doubt it. If unplugging the boot does not work try ones for the doors. One at a time and you will know which lock it is.

i found a loose wire on the boot catch, so will re-attach this and see if that solves my problem.

Does anyone know what the connector on the boot catch is? ( the part that the boot closes onto)

Its the sensor for the alarm / boot open warning.
