Hi again all
My hdi engine vibrates at idle with the metal pipe (aircon ?) at the front top shaking about, is this normal?
Also the car seems to have a rattle/noise at low revs that disappears as the revs build usually about 2300 to 3000 rpm and goes silent (well as much as a diesel can). It doesn't seem to be coming from the pulley are though. Again is this normal or does anybody have any ideas I can check.
In the meantime it's axle bearing change time this weekend.

Thanks. Doesn't seem to be the pulley and after searching all threads it may be an injector. I'm running bg 244k through it at the moment.
For the future as I may change the pulley anyway, is it the timing crank pulley ( that the timing belt runs off) or is it the accessory pulley.

the big pulley at the bottom of the aux belt.
on my 1.4hdi i had a rumble at tickover and it was the alternator pulley (belt tensioner was bouncing).

I will have another check of pulleys this week. Just sprayed a bit of grease on the pulleys and it now seems to be just engine noise ( no rattle) I won't really know till tomm though.
