Right i've read though a fair few older topics but not so much answering my question :S

When i gave up on the project, i used the car as a shed to put my parts it Laughing
But the final day of loading stuff into it, the locks became bouncey from the central locking, panic struck.

So after about 10mins of playing it locked "few!"
So then about a week later i needed something out of the car. However by this time, Batterys dead, no petrol and brought the car with alternator problems. So central locking didnt work, i thought normal!

But then i tryed to lock it by hand and it wouldn't work O.o!! Tryed both doors, drivers door nout but a ticking noise :S

But then i done the Passengers door, no ticking but boot didnt lock :S ... After about 10mins of slamming and banging doors and boots out of anger, it locked ... WayHeyyyyy.

But since then i've not attempted to un-lock the car cuz my heart stopped incase i couldn't lock the car again!

Sorry for the story but the question is, what could the problem be cuz i wanna start work on the car but scared to un-lock it incase the locks bounce and the car doesn't lock at all :/

Please help, and if you've read this far! THANKS Laughing

P.S. Sorry for the poor spelling, haven't looked at the screen whilst typing so something was bound to go wrong lol

If you d/c the battery it'll stop the buzzing of the locks, it's because there isn't enough power for RCL

Charge the battery up, and if it still bounces then the solenoid has gone

If you're leaving it on the drive whilst you're fixing it and don't need the battery. Take the interior cover off the boot off, and disconnect the little rod, this will stop the exterior handle working, so you open it from inside.

Then lock the doors with the key.

Take the doorcard off.

Undo the three torx screws on the outside.

Disconnect the connector and the rods

Maneuver out

Nah no idea.

Have a GTi manifold and backbox on the back yard though.

Are you wanting to post it or fit it to the car?

You'll need a lot of modification

Would be cheaper and better to buy aftermarket.
