A piller is the front one.

Its the curved piller between edge of windscreen & front door, if its got an alarm then there will be a sensor at the top of each A piller.

Brakes and pads shouldn't cost no more than 50-60quid and i got myself Brembo disc and Ferodo Premier pad if you need new set,as for front wing panel they may be easy to take apart but takes time if there are hidden bolts that would require lifting car up to remove from bottom.

Yours is multiplexed - 1 press on the remote lock button should arm the alarm & if you have them fitted set the deadlocks.

1 press locks doors and sets alarm
2nd press within a couple of seconds activates deadlocks
If you don't 2nd press it in time it just flashes the indicators about a billion times and puts the interior light on (something to do with helping you find your car at night Rolling Eyes )
Well that's how my CC works,it's an 03 multiplex

WRONG!

On a multiplex 206 with deadlocks its the FIRST press that sets alarm & deadlocks.

If the lock button is pressed a 2nd time within 5 seconds it then removes the deadlocks & just leaves it normally locked, also depending on which BSI software version your running it can disarm the alarm system as well.

Go sit in your CC & press the remote fob lock button twice, then pull the interior door handle & see what happens Wink

Or you buy cheapos
Or you're a heavy braker

4-5 years from a set of pads/discs is something I've never managed
(still only had the Pug since July '11)
I had a Cavalier SRi130 and that used to eat pads, I only managed a year from a set of Mintex and they used to be guaranteed for a year
But I know it's the way I drive as I brake hard and late

This might just well explain why some $%$£ managed to break into mine quite so easily. Thanks for pointing this out, good for future reference!
