Genuine Cat? For emmision failure i would say the cat is at fault, especially a cheaper one. any engine lights? When was the car last serviced?

Fit a decent aftermarket exhaust and take the car to a garage that will overlook exhaust emissions!

Yes, it's likely your lambda/o2 sensor is shafted ... was it disturbed when you had the new exhaust fitted?

Our 206CC 2.0 has two ... one pre-cat, one post-cat ... but until I get PP working I can't tell which is screwed .. one is, the code reader I have tells me!

Down to just the 1.4 HDi. Cayman Green 2.0i CC sold.
