cant wait to get it out on stages
i suppose i really should update after a lot of modding i eventually got front wings & side skirts fitting nice so im currently making mould of wings ,bumpers and skirts, so ill make them new as thete is a lot of fiberglass & filler in modded wings, will be able to make as many as i want if i have a tip out on stages, ill post up pics at weekend should have bodywork finished in next few weeks then onto engine build
have a deadline set for trip to uk mid april for mapping

That sounds like a plan..... I can meet up for a photoshoot and get the rest of the details via email if required.

this is a question from my son about the fibre glass mould, Could he use a polystyrene mould covered in tin foil then wax it a few times (car wax?) and then use the mould to make a front mudguard thanks Craig

Im no expert in making moulds but not sure if tin foil would be good enough personally i would be make shape of mudguard with polystyrene cover it with skin of bodyfiller then sand any imperfections then make the mould
not sure on using car wax cant see why it wouldnt work but you need to apply a coat of 'release agent' its a blue liquid applied on top of the wax brfore the Gelcoat

Few more pics of fiberglassing as usual im not getting it done as quick as i planned been busy with work but now have side skirts & both wings made just the mould for front bumper left to make
Final layer on mould for r/h wing
Mould for l/h wing ready to fill
Rear bumper & mould you can see where i modified bumper as it was 2inches too wide & looked bit silly
Side skirts mould ready to fill

Few pics of progress slow as usual been very busy at work so rallycar only getting few hours a week finally have wings, skirts fitted & painted also got rear bumper painted
Wasnt 100% happy with join on rear 1/4 panels & door opening was wrong colour so repaired 1/4's and painted both sides of car.
excuse the quality of the pics as only had phone with me today.
my great plan of being in uk for mapping in mid April came and went like every other deadline but eventually i'll get there
