Every now and again when ever I start the car the engine sorta goes batshit crazy and trys to shake its way out of the car it calms down after it gets 2-3 minutes of high revs ?? When the engines shaking its really going for it and shaking the whole car ? Any ideas what this could be ?? It don't always happen that's why I'm having problems discribing it to the garage probably once or twice a month

common problem on all Gtis and GTi 180.

What spark plugs have you got in it?

Normally down to using NGK spark plugs, bad coilpack or even the hydraulic tappets.

Engine mounts? Are the drive shafts spinning straight? Have you hit a pot hole or curb recently?

Could it of been possible that something under the car / engine bay was caught buy something just a thought, maybe take it to a garage and have a look underneath to see if all is well, it's funny how you say it only happens now and agen as a bent shaft or similar would be all the time and you'd know about it.

Have a read of what I posted, both 206 Gtis I have owned have done the same at some point in my ownership, and if you do a search you will see that it is a common problem on the 138 gti.
