basically my wipers in auto are unreliable it can be spitting slightly and they wil run fast and vise versa
is it posible to change the stalk to an intermitant stalk or would i need to change parts of the loom ie not worth while
2000 reg gti

This is how they work! Mines a 54 plate and can be going like mad when spitting, and nothing at all when its peeing down! I think someone posted a how to on reseting it.

Yours is the Bosch system as its non plexed, unclip the mirror cover, carefully unclip the sensor ( 1 clip each end ) & you will find 2 clear gel pads stuck to the sensor - these need to be sitting tight / sandwiched between the sensor & screen else the system doesnt work correctly.
I've no idea where you would get replacement gel pads from.
I wonder if the windscreen boys ever bother to replace them or just stick them back on when they change a screen

shame pug couldnt have made it a better system as i had the same problem with my last car
