my was broken into thursday night thats twice in 5 days didnt take nothing this time anyway they smashed the drivers window brought a replacement glass from a breakers but the window doesnt go down for me to replace it any ideas please as my car is outside and is not secure in anyway

Power the motor direct. If it still doesn't work, change the regulator.

Because the window was up when the window was smashed the window retaining clips (the white plastic clips) are now stopping the new window going in because they are at the top, turn On the power to the car and put the window retaining clips to the bottom of the door by pressing the electric window button, then the window will slide in, then bring the retaining clips back up the door about 1/4 of the way and push the window into the clips, JOB DONE! 3 minute job if that,
