With tax and mot trust me it isn't worth splitting, may get a bit more in the end but it won't be worth the hassle will be stuck with spare parts for years to come especially with 180s you kind of have to wait for people to buy it as they aren't massively popular so need somewhere big to store the parts.

Am I reading this right?

180 parts aren't popular?

You bought my black 206 gti a few years back Very Happy if you recall and then just broke it down for parts - I am just looking at all the options. I have the space to do it so its a viable option

Yes mate of course I remember yours was the first I bought Laughing it's all about how much you can get for it as a whole, from experience unless you literally can't even shift it for around £1500 don't even consider breaking it it just isn't worth your time.

No Matt you are reading it right, the nice added '180 trim' isn't worth that much - the bulk of the profit is in the spares / repairs part market. On here 180 seems popular but that's because people who have them are mainly owners clubs sort of people. Not many people outside of info really have one.

Normal gtis on the other hand are much more common, shove random parts on ebay and you will get interest instantly pretty much.

+ I've sold nimrods for £120 - £150 within a week, took me months to try and shift sets of vortexs for £250

Still got a 180 interior that I would do for £300 (that's inc doorcards + glovebox) but literally had no interest in it not even any offers, half leather interior however for £100 would go straight away. Don't think people are willing to shell out the extra for 180 stuff these days

Be a waste of a good car if you break it for parts.

Not really asked - point of the thread is to decide 1 of 3 options:

1. Keep it - investigate droplinks/wishbone thats knocking over small bumps and fix exhaust leak.
2. Sell it now
3. Break it after mot expires
