I get the feeling certain people on this thread are desperate for cheap 180 parts & will try & persuade the OP to break the car just to benefit themselves Whistle...

Brian and I broke a 180 about 3 years ago and we've still got some parts. This forum is full of timewasters and dreamers.

Fix it and sell it on.

I may be wrong but I think it depends where the car is being broke on weather or not the parts will go, what I mean is if you have lets say a 180 interior for sale and you live in wales and someone in the midlands wants it but the person selling it wont send it and the person wanting it wont travel then its not gonna sell. I personally have missed out on loads of bargins because it was to far a way to collect and not really worth it, just my thoughts.

I agree I think plp will push for the car to be broke to get parts for themselves, I would like some parts myself, who doesn't like a bargin lol

We broke ours when 180 parts were at a premium and didn't have any issues getting more desirable parts like the wheels and seats shifted, regardless of where the buyer was situated. Some of your prices are a bit off tbh, so you may not make as much as you think you might. Another thing that you want to consider though is whether you are comfortable with dropping an engine or axle yourself, getting pallets and then arranging a courier. It's all fine saying 'yeah it's fine, no problem, etc' but when it's p**sing of rain (or snowing in our case Laughing ) then it's not so much fun.

For the sake of a couple of hundred quid replacing the wishbones and getting the exhaust welded up, you are far better off selling the car as a whole Wink

To the OP, have you considered trading it in. Might be worth visiting a few and seeing what they would offer.

If your interested in selling it as a whole car drop me a message with a price you've got in mind for it...with a bit of information about the car.

Would be interested in it for the right price.

Just to update the thread -
Fitted new wishbones, droplinks, catback exhaust and the car has been transformed.

Only issue now is that somewhere from the manifold to the cat the system is leaking / blowing. So I need information on getting the access to the clamps. anyone know whats involved?

I would asume as you've fitted a cat back it's blowing on the joint were it joins the cat Idealy need a ramp to make it easyer for your self, or if you had it fitted by a company take it back and get them to fix it as they haven't done very good job.

No its fine from the cat back - its between the cat and the manifold!
