So after finally solving the locking nut issue i was able to get the wheels off and change my pads......

I knew they would be bad but wow were these dead!!

Just a quick question, do you bleed your brakes after you replace the pads?

You don't need to...unless they have got air in somehow.

we had a cabstar in at work this week the pads and discs were that bad the inside pad fell out letting the caliper pistons travel so far fluid leaked out past the seals!!! took the caliper off and the pistons just fell off on the ramp. bloke said "oh its been grinding for a few weeks actually just didnt get round to getting it looked at" unbelievable lol

How come they haven't warn down evenly? That's what I'd be more concerned about

lol my in law came round saying can you look at my car the brakes are grinding/squeeling

took the wheel off and the piston had been doing the braking on both sides and the outer pads were to metal lol

did a good deed and changed them for free
