My 2003 2.0 Hdi once warmed up has a steady engine temp of 70 degrees. Halfway up the scale would be 90, what's the normal running temp that you folk are experiencing?

Mine seems to sit at 70* most times but can go up to 90* (and no more) when on the motorway.

This seems normal.

I believe I have a dual indicator at ignition it tells you the oil level after 20-30 seconds it shows coolant temp.

At least that what I was told, when I first got it I though it had a problem as the arrow jumps up on start up! Surprised Laughing

mines a tad under 80 too

FYI, having a FMIC has nothing to do with the water temp on the car Very Happy

Why has it lowered since fitting the FMIC then? IIRC it was around the 80mark. Now it never raises above 70, unless stuck in traffic, on a hot day.

(Not in an argumentative way, just curious.)

Sorry to raise this from the dead... what is normal for stuck in traffic on a hot day like today? mine was pushing 100C at one point. Fan was not running (and it does work in PP2000!)

Is it normal? Never had a car go above 90 before.
