Hi i have recently had my cambelt changed and now it is making a wierd grr kind of noise. I have had it checked and the garage said the tensioner is too tight.
Is that the case of is thier something wrong with the belt it self?
Cant take it back to where i had it done as it was done in manchester and now i am in birmingham
Its a 1.4 lx

did you just change the belt or the whole kit?

They changed the whole kit ( belt, tensioner, water pump, ani freeze)

I saw on here that the tensioner is automaticaly adjusted or is that just in the gti

Id take it back. I wouldnt even mess around with a cambelt. And id imagine if u took it 2 another garage theyd charge through the roof! So y should u pay again if uve already payed!
