Thanks. The drop links were custom made, there only a bit of aluminium bar with threads tapped in the ends then some male rose joint bearings wound in. They don’t last very long though.

beware of those TD 1.2 pro; they tends to crack quite often

Ye I heard that some of the old ones cracked but I’ve also seen the standard 180 wheels crack and the 207 GT wheels crack. I think they be ok lots of people use them in competition and there should be no potholes on the track.

Good job you lot don't live round Shropshire or the wheels would be in Pieces lol

What size wheels an tyres are you using and how low is the car?
When you wired up the ECU to the race tech dash via can, does this use the normal connection which is used for mapping or can you still connect up a laptop and map the car with the dash working?

I saw you racing at combe on Saturday in the tin tops and it looked good.

17 x 7 wheels and 205/40/17 tyres standard gti 180 size

The dash is wired to the ecu’s can stream (2 wires) so you can still map through the rs232 port (like normal) with the dash working. You can use rs232 port to run the dash as well but then you cannot map it with the dash working.

Thanks mate was my first race, all went well just a few things need sorting an need to practice the pit stop lost so much time there

Thanks for the reply. Do you have the ecu reading all settings sunch as water/oil temp and engine/car speed or do you take some data from the ecu (revs etc) then wire others directly to the dash? To connect car speed did you have to rig up a new sensor or use existing? Do you also have the race technology data logger connected up to the dash?
Sorry for all the questions just been looking to do this but not found much info on fitting to a 206.

Just looking through the thread (can now see pictures on home omp) what radiator and oil catch tank have you used?
Are you still running a cat in the exhaust?

Revs, oil presser, oil temp, speed, air temp, coolant temp, battery voltage, throttle position are all wired to the ECU that then sends them via the 2 can wires to the dash. The fuel gauge and indicator signals are wired straight to the dash. I use one of the original wheel speed sensors at the back and a converter to convert the signal to digital (like a Hall Effect sensor) this then goes the ecu where you can set it up an use it for launch control and a speedo. No I don’t use a dater logger. It doesn’t make any difference on what car it is if all of the standard wiring/ECU’s have been removed. The rad and the catch tank have both been custom made. Yes It still has the standard cat.

Yes they are slightly shorter but they are also adjustable. They work well but you do get a small amount of play in the rose joints but this does not affect the performance of them, I don’t think they would last very long a on a road car because they have no rubber boots to keep the grease in an the dirt out. But you could probably fit some

I’m using the standard tank and pump with fuel line inside the car, It works well as long as it has at least 3L In the tank to stop it getting fuel starvation.

A few pictures from Castle Combe, qualified 12th and finished 17th had a terrible pit stop an then the interior mirror fall off which made It very difficult to drive as it was getting stuck under the pedals.
