Hi

I'm attempting to enable cruise control in my 206 1.4 HDi from 2005 with ESP. I have installed the stalk and enabled cruise control in the BSI without any issues. I can see the stalk is working when doing measurements through COM2000 in PP2000.

The issue is that I'm unable to enable cruise control in the ECU. I only get the option "without cruise control, with ESP" in the configuration. The ECU is a Bosch EDC16C3 8HZ.

Thanks in advance Smile

Cruise control will be locked out in the engine ecu software.

You need to get the software reflashed or someone to hack it to unlock the cruise control function.

Thanks MrBSI. Is it possible to reflash with software floating around or is it required to disassemble the ECU itself?

Pass - I've never looked it to it.

Someone on here was going to attempt it but sold there 206 before they could get round to it.

BDM? The 206 SHOULD supports cruise control from the factory, so could you please explain why anything is required from a later model? Thanks.

you need to switch on the cruise control 'bit' in the ECU software. Basically the 0 needs to be changed to 1. Finding the correct bit is hard, although if you find somebody who has done a lot of work with the EDC16 they might be able to help you.

I've yet to see a 206 with factory fitted cruise control.

Some 206 BSI units can have the cruise control function turned ON but if the cruise setting in the engine ecu is locked out ( & nearly all of them on 206 ecu's are ) it wont work.

So a Peugeot garage need to exchange the ECU with one supporting cruise control? Or do they upload the required firmware to the existing ECU? If so, shouldn't this be possible with PP2000? Thanks.

Wasn't Cruise an option on some 206 models?
