Hey guys, quick question,

What's the least BHP people have had recorded for a 180/RC?

Reason I asked because I'm in a thread on another site titled 'Your favourite French performance hatches' I've stated mine as a 180 because it is, meh anyway...

Erm some one has posted

Quote::
The 206 gti 180 more often than not makes around 15x bhp.. "bags of s**t"

I don't think I've ever heard of a 180 in all my years on here make near 150, what's the average bhp they make? I always thought it ranged from, least 160-175.

Yeah. Off the top of my head:
1. 206 1.6 XSi
2. My old Skoda Fabia vRS
3. Fiat Punto diesel something.
4. Golf GTi
5. Can't remember
6. Can't remember
7. GTi 180
8. 106 something, not GTi

Yep the guy is a forum knob anyway, never any credibility in what he posts. He's a forum fool type of guy, likes to be funny, which is good when you want funny just a shame he's able to comment in any thread he desires lol.

Turns out his post was based on one guy in his local area taking his brand new one to a "power station" and rolling 150 bhp.

He didn't like my response so hit me with this lol...

A brand new lemon.. Doubt it.

The 206 is s**t, just face the fact you bought a s**t car.

My reply below,

Well brand new cars usually make full power at around 20k IIRC, so who knows eh. Either way clearly an isolated case.

And are you for real with what you drive? I'd sooner walk. I'd sooner drive my s**t 206 than a clapped out old BMW sprayed p**s yellow.

Just because you talk utter crap and can't back up your post don't take it out on me.

Still waiting for a reply, nope left the thread nawww Sad

True.

From memory VAG cars exceed the quoted power output too.

This is true, my Ibiza Cupra is about 225 from the books stated 156...but might have had a few alterations since it was built Wink

From what I remember though from a specialist VAG garage the majority of the VAG cars have a higher output than quoted.

But the RC are actually do run 180bhp don't they? It's just to bring it into our bulls**t emissions laws ect.

I have heard this too, I wonder what the difference is...pressume its mapping having said that though would a stock 180 get 180bhp if re-mapped?

People only just get 180bhp with exhausts etc.
