2.0 HDI has proven many times to do 400K miles easily if looked after.

SE spec is fully loaded, if it has full service history & is HPI clear then its worth a look.

Just looking at the min as no funds until around 3 to 4 weeks time. Just getting an idea on which ones to look for so i can get some insurance quotes as well.
Is there any rust issues on the 206 like they had on the 306 or any area's of the body work i should be taking more care to look at.
Would you still view a car with part service history and do all the HDI engines which are 1.9 or 2.0l have turbo's

The 1.9 is non turbo, however the 2.0 is, As mentioned a dozen times in the post, the 2.0HDI is the best one to go for, or a 1.4 petrol....

The 1.9 diesel is an old fashioned tractor engine, avoid at all costs.
The 2.0 HDI is a lot better being common rail & turbocharged plus does more mpg.

:), Ive got this engine in my SW, but my mums got the same engine in her hatchback and is so much quicker lol

Got a few spec's of 1.4L and 2.0HDI and will phone up insurance tonight to get a quote for a change of car.

Well i phoned my insurance company up and got a quote for the 2.0HDI, 1.4 and 1.1 just to see the price range and it was shocked to find they are all around what i pay now with the 2.0 being the highest and 1.1 and 1.4 being around £10 a month cheaper.
But there was another problem i was told that on my policy i cannot have any named drivers under 27 years old and my wife is under 27 so they said i can cancel the policy as they cannot meet my requirements. Now i have got the head ach of looking for a new car that i can get cover on for both me and my wife and insurance company that will cover my wife under 27 years old.
I think i might have to get a 1.4L or 1.1L

the 16v offers great drivability, economy and with 90bhp(100ish on late models) - abit of poke!
