my gti is pre-plexed. my wipers are always in the auto posiition. i never touch the stalk, just let them do what they want. silicone blades so they ain't going to wear out so don't mind if it goes fast speed for a drop of rain but i never have to 're-engage' the auto wipers everytime i get in the car... they are always in auto mode. havn't touched that stalk since christmas.
