I was thinking of having the PAS pump on mine switched on by my Omex. I.e. it doesn't get switched on until a certain engine speed it reached - maybe 500rpm.

Yer could be done if you wanted mine just turns on and primes on the final instrument possision, just should of had a 40amp fuse to alow for the initial spike in power on start up.
Are you using the vauxhall pump or the pug one?

I'm going to try a Saxo/106 pump and get the bracket welded to the standard airbox bracket.

I don't think it's strong enough mate, that's were I have my oil catch tank and just about ok for that. I've had the 106 bracket customised to fit in the corner along with a rubber mount to reduce the vibrations then bolted to the frame.

Seats fitted v.happy with the final look and also hold you spot on round corners enjoy...
I don't even need to change the bars for steel as I used 8mm thick alloy and worked a treat.

nice making your own seat mounts, is there much benifit from messing with the rad and pas pump for the trumpets to be bigger

Thanks usher, it was quite easy 2nd, It's open to interpretation mate it depends on how deep you want to get into it,... I ran NO filter for 3years as the rad was in the way so nothing could get in to the intake. BUT sucked hot air in as a downside. It revs well having less belt travel and pulleys to go around but I have a L&B fly wheel any way so revs quite quick any way. Now I've got cold air going into the inlet instead of hot air that can't be bad. I also think the elec conversion has a lot better feel to it than the standard PAS. You can use socks or a big universal sock that goes round the 4 trumpets but for what I wanted I needed the standard pump out.
On the trumpet subject you'll losses some hi end bhp but gain more mid range tourqe witch in my case I'll be able to use better. I'll be taking the 65's to the rollers to see the difference in power curves between the
lengths.

It is Harry soooo simple to nice and low, but not to low, that was my main worry but all is good just gotta fit the harness eye hooks into the exhaust tunnel then the harnesses can go in and can be removed in seconds.
Then my list left is:
Wait for the correct carpet to arrive.
Fit grp n mounts.
Fit my 180 TB's and higher the rear.
Remap booked for next month.
Then I'll be happy.......for now supose save for the next stage

so would you recomend moving the rad when i do the itb convertion, which rad did you use in the end i know you were talking about a custom one

Nar I used the standard rad mate I didn't do the work I got pug1off as they do all my car mods, thers no point in moving the rad down if your not going to do the elec pas conversion as that alows you to use a back plate filter. Or buy an air box like Edward from Jenvey...you'll get a good price if you say I sent you 
For the price of doing the mods what I have just done, for a Dailey runner I wouldn't bother. Id just get an air box like edwards, but this is conning off the road next year and doing the rest that I have planned.

i would do it myself if i was to do it, have thought about making my own air box and using a backplate filter like you have now, cald air is my main objective as hot air cant be goot from the rad, i would want the itbs in a box so suppose it all depends on clearance when fitted as i say ill make my own air box, cant justify the cost of the CF one longmans make

Cool I've used a 50mm deep carbonfiber one as wanted it to match my engine cover ect also to cover most of the 80mm trumpets.
You'll need to get a elec pump,donor car for the bracket to be taken from,get a hi presure hose for the connection to the rack and a loom to feed and fuse it all. I also used an aftermarket hi flow motosport fan for the rad
Also if you go the way I have you'll need bonnet pinns as I had all the fan&surround removed for maximum flow but you bonnet has nothing to clip to so that's why I needed pins I don't mind tho as I think they look mint.
