Hello all

As some of you may or may not know, I managed to get some genuine masked valeos for £40-bargain! However they aren't in the best condition and have been split at some point in their life before. They have a lot of bits and a few dead bugs in there. The driver side does sometimes steam up too! I was wondering if any kind member would looked to possibly split them for me and reseal cleaning all the rubbish out? Obviously I would pay for sending there and back and for your time I was wondering if anyone wanted to and at what price they would do it for? Or should I just leave it?!

One of the lenses has a bit of stratch, could I get the lens sanded back and resmoothed?

Thanks
Dan

Yeah they have the valeo stickers on the back, I think they have a been split but they don't have any covers on the back and they were dusty so looks like they were in storage for a while with no backs on? That could also be the reason they had condensation was because I had no backs on!

its not difficult at all pop them in the oven and every 10 minutes or so take them out and try to gently prise them apart with a flathead screwdriver. Took about 3 goes in the oven to undo mine. Then while its warm clean all the crap old sealant off. Clean them up and do whatever you want to do with them then stick them back together with some clear sealant.

just because they say valeo on the back doesnt mean they are "genuine masked valeos".. The standard lights say valeo on them.. Use a hot air gun, just be careful not to melt Very Happy

If they where genuine masked headlamps then they should be CIBIE branded not Valeo Wink

Cibie are part of Valeo.

Valeo make the standard crystal headlamp & these are Valeo branded.

Cibie do the masked crystal headlamps & these will be Cibie branded.

danlouiee your lights sound like someones done a bad diy job on standard crystal headlamps.
