Hiya guys....
Ive gotta get a new rear axle, my first question is

My car has abs so does it have to have a abs axle?
Second is, can i upgrade to calipers instead of drums?

Yes as it will fail the mot test & your insurance company wont be happy either.

Four bolts and a new set of handbrake cables. Mind the Calipers must come with the axle, don't buy a drum axle and some rear calipers and ask them to change. Wink

Yeah i was looking at the gti ones with calipers to fit my 90bhp hdi lol

It will fit fine as long as you get the handbrake cables as well.

The cables are different lengths between drum brake & disc brake axles.
